Regional Conferences of Music Education: Supported by ISME
“ISME Regional Conferences bring the spirit of music education closer to home, uniting local and international educators, musicians, and advocates. These conferences explore regional perspectives, celebrate diverse traditions, and inspire collaboration for a harmonious future in music education”

The International Society for Music Education (ISME), a US-based non-profit organization, champions the belief that lived experiences of music, in all their rich diversity, are essential to the human experience.
Our mission is to enrich these experiences by:
- Building and maintaining a worldwide community of music educators characterised by mutual respect and support.
- Fostering global intercultural understanding and cooperation among the world’s music educators.
- Promoting music education for people of all ages in all relevant situations throughout the world.
In pursuit of this mission, ISME proudly supports regional conferences dedicated to the advancement of music education:
- Europe (EAS)
- Africa (PASMAE)
- Asia-Pacific (APSMER)
- Latin and Pan-America (LAPA)
- South Asia (SARC)
Held in odd-numbered years, these Regional Conferences alternate with the ISME World Conferences, which take place in even-numbered years. We invite you to explore the conferences in your region, connect with fellow educators and students, and showcase your work on an international platform.
